MORE Ciddies?

No, this isn't a question regarding how often we should have the Ciddies, you oldbies who can't handle the twice-a-year deal. This is a question regarding how many awards are up for grabs... over the past three years I have hosted 5 Ciddies, each time with 50 awards available. Each time there has been 30 somewhat serious and generally regular awards and then 20 more ...er, odd "Most Likely" awards. What I want to know is do you think there should be more? I have a "strict 30" that I used last time and want to use again for the regular awards because they offered so much variety and so much competition. The 20 Most Likely ones are a bit tougher - there are 7 that never really change and that leaves only 13 awards that I can make different from last time. Do you want more? With more members, I don't see the harm in it, but it's really up to you guys. I'm completely fine with not having any more or having 10-20 more. I don't think it would be that great to go beyond 70 total, though. Here are the keepers, btw. I'll be working with my top team to fill in the gaps - <b>please don't suggest any ideas for the new awards in this thread</b>, I like to make them at least a little bit of a surprise when I release them - however PM them to me and I'll love ya. ;D

I've always liked just keeping the awards at 50, and nothing more than that. If anything I would say that the awards been slimmed down a bit to maybe 45 or 40, but 50 seems to be the best number, imho.

And I generally agree with how most of the Most Likely ones can get old, but I get the feeling it's just older people who think that. But if I'm wrong, by all means, send suggestions to me via PM as to how I can make 'em better. We need to have some weird ones. Having every single one of them being serious would suck like hell. ...I think?

Seriously, now. The 50 we have I think is more than plenty. I don't think we should cut back, but we probably would never need more than that.

To me, Award Guy is like the Oscar Voting Panel, tallying up the totals. I meant, someone, like you, who can give a live commentary as the winners are announced! Just a thought.

Anyway, I don't think there's anything wrong with the most likely to ones. As long as they aren't lame ones. As for 10-20 more, that would be a good idea maybe, as it would mean more people would be nominated due to that old "Only nominate someone for 5 awards" but in practice I think it would just lead to the same people winning more. So yeah, boo hiss.
