Has anyone gotten it? What are your thoughts? Seems to be getting pretty good reviews overall, but the price seems a bit high for a 6-7 hour game... Buy or rent?

Trash, transformers is a kids show.
I've rented it twice, and beat it. It's definitely a fun game, even with the repetitive enemies. Finding the best Minicon combination is fun. Some of it, even in the third Deep Amazon level can get difficult, fighting a bunch of large Decepticlones at once.
I say rent it, the length of it probably isn't worth enough to buy it. But, overall, it's a very enjoyable game. *nod*

Unfortunately, it's a little too repetitive. Apart from that, it's all good fun.

Yeah and so did barney, but we are older now.
Barney is nothing, compared to transformers. I dont see the comparison... IMHO
