    I think you should approach your parents about replacing/repairing your things. Never hurts to ask.

    And check with your insurance provider for flood insurance, though most providers don't offer it.

    I'd tell them about it and leave the decision up to them. Depending on what they do for you will affect what you do for them when they are old and senial. That's my motto.

    I think they should at least help pay for it, as it was them that stole the stand.

    If your parents were wise, they'd have some company have home insurance of some kind to get your damaged goods replaced. Hope they did that, otherwise, unless you have a good-sized back account with no real purpose for it, you're screwed.
