Yangs weapons

What do yangs weapons do? If they have 0 Attack...does it even matter if he has them?

I thought that all of Yang's weapons have some attack power.

Either way, Yang's claws are good because they either add an elemental effect to the attack (thunder to attack aquatic enemies, etc...) or they add a status effect, like poison.
