    Default Swings vs. Roundabouts

People seem to be using the phrase "It's all swings and roundabouts" at the moment (and by people I mean people I talk to, not people here), and I was thinking, it makes no sense.

They say both offer you different things, but I hate roundabouts and prefer swings, roundabouts just make me dizzy.

So anyway, which do you prefer?

Isn't a roundabout what we call a traffic circle? Or is it like a merry-go-round or something?

A swing is, well, a swing ,right? A chair with strings. In which case I prefer a swing.

    Roundabout as in merry-go-round.

Hence the playground aspect of it all.

I've never been on a roundabout before, but I love going on swings. Sometimes they make me a little dizzy, but they're fun, especially to jump off of.

There are both equally enjoyable in the most perverse sense of the word "equally"

Like big merry-go-rounds or the little playgroud ones? They took out all the little playground ones around here years ago because, apparently, anything fun is dangerous.

    Anyway, I like both.

Actually, they're both provide me with hours of solitary entertainment, on the old playground down the road. It's become a danger hazard so I go there by myself and play on the slides, swings and roundabout what have you; and smoke weed there because no one else annoys me.

I remember those roundabouts. We'd run around as fast as we could holding onto the handles and ride it around.

    Swings are good for jumping.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

They both make me feel sick, but swings don't make me dizzy, so I prefer swings. Preferably just sitting on them not moving very much.

Roundabouts made me feel very sick. Swings didn't.

I hardly went on roundabouts, so I enjoyed gong on them when I could. But I had swings in my garden (Yeah! !) and I loved them too. So... both!
