has someone won the hunt festival in lindblum with zidane?i have tried sometimes but i always get beaten from freya.do you know any way of winning and if you win with him does something happens with garnet with that promised date?

I always win. Never have I NOT won. It seems rather easy, actually. Just find out which one will let you win easiest, and go after those. Also, make sure that you beat that big monster (I don't remember what it's called).

The big monster is a zaghnol. Zidane's prize is a measly 5000 gil.

I've won it with Freya, Zidane, and even Vivi.

Winning it with Vivi is the best. All you have to do is kill off Freya and then kill yourself if memory serves me right.

you cannot get the date with dagger if you win with zidane, im sorry :shame:
If you win with vivi you get a rare card (i think the theatre ship)
If you win with Freya you get Coral ring, which is an add-on that learns you Lancer and is good vs Beatrix later on in the game, cause it halves (or absorbs?) Lightning damage.

I make sure Zidane wins because I spend so much on synth so it's good for replenishing my cash before leaving Lindblum. And at that stage in the game, you can hardly call 5000 gil measly!

Me too. Coral Ring is very useful later on, and I think I always have one when fighting Grand Dragons later in the game. Besides, (SPOILER)Zidane won't get in a date with Dagger anyway.
