4 Knights and you should be fine. That's what I did and I just had a nice amount of defense he couldn't hurt me too bad. Although 4 knights with monks counter, and well everytime he hits you just about, you'll counter for a hefty amount of damage.

yea but i dont want to switch to 4 knights.. just wouldnt idk feel the same. right now ive got butz as a thief reina as a w mage galuf b mage and faris a monk

Learn "Toad Song" in the tower, then cast it, then cast Mute on him. He'll be a pushover after that!

Too late now, but ah well.

My favorite way to beat Garula is to learn Flash on Hiryuu Mountain, then use it to cripple him.

I didn't know which enemy it was until I saw the screenshot.
I wouldn't call him particularly difficult, not so much enemies down the line, but I wouldn't say that I had 4 standing members of the crew after the battle (If my recollections serve me proper)

Right... SO all I mean to say is, "It gets harder."
But no fear. Difficulty=Fun
