Two opisites, a single person, CONFUSING!

The poem is about two people, but it's talking specifically about one of them. The fact that there's a 'pair' of characters is merely a clue to the identity of the one I've got in mind...
The last two lines are a bit of a play on words, but the biggest clue that's available. One person came pretty close the answer already...
