Nope, in fact, he's pretty damn obscure. He appears in a grand total of two scenes. However, the entire riddle is about the letters in his name, not his actions or opinions, so you should still be able to figure it out. Or throw yourself out a window in frustration. Here, I'll really quick run off a last pair of lines to help out:

except for this one : I smell slightly of sole.
That will definitely help you if you can think outside the box.

The way I justified the second A was "both halves of my name have one of five each" One of 5, there are 5 Vowels, A being a vowel.

Sure is. I'm not good at making these up. I only like trying to solve them.
Gaff Gafgarion carries the Blood Sword in FFT, Stealing it from him is the only way to get the sword (unless its a poached item or found in Deep dungeon with Move-Find Item)
in FF2, if you equip Frionel with the Blood Sword and have level 16 sword skill, it kills the last boss in a few hits.
In FF3 its found in the Shipwreck.
The sword when hitting an opponent steals their HP and heal the weilder.
