I realised why I only scored 'above average' the second time: I just couldn't figure out the numerical puzzles. It was like 1 3 6 ... etc etc and I couldn't figure out the pattern.

Then they had huge numbers which were probably square roots of 3-digit numbers. I just said 'screw that'.
