Retrieving Relm?

I know there's a thread about finding Relm a little down the page, but this is kinda different.

I've found Relm, in the cave with the thieves. In my game, (SPOILER)Shadow died. She's at the house in Thamasa, and still laying bed talking about feeling groggy. Talking to the paintings in Owzer's house doesn't do anything, with the lights on, or off. I haven't noticed any letters, or weird forces stopping you from going upstairs. I have no idea what to do. Any help, please? =X

You must do the lights on, and go to the painting in the left down corner, talk to it and it will be a fight, then a door. The rest I don't know anymore. But it's not smart [SPOILERS] to let Shadow die, it's one of the greatest and strongest characters (YEAH, i wrote it good)

if you leave and renter Thasma Relm should disappear, then you can go find her in Owzer's house.
