Default On the day you were born...

Did anything of semi-importance happen on the day you were born? Try running a search on Google for your birthdate and see what interestin' stuff you can come up with.

For example. . . February 18, 1984. My own birthday.

    - Prince Rainier of Monaco met privately with President Reagan.
    - Footloose was the number one movie in America.
    - Darrell Waltrip won the Goody's 300 at Daytona International Speedway, the first race of the 1984 season.
    - The last day of the Sarajevo Winter Olympics was held.
    - Bill Bradley has his jersey number 24 retired by the New York Knicks.
    - Italy and the Vatican agree to end Roman Catholicism as the state religion.

So what about you? Anything exciting happen?

Hey, Pies, I meant the exact date of your birth, not every single year on that day.

Januray the 31st 1989 *scary music*

Some composer died - 1989 Yasushi Akutagawa composer, dies at 63

Some other weird person dies -Jack Douglas humorist (My Brother Was an Only Child), dies at 80

So many deaths on my birthday...nothing of any imprtance happened on my birthday except for weird people dieing. If i had been born a year before I could have rejoiced that fact I was born on the same day the first McDonalds opened in russia a year before my birthday....

    Its not fair.

I search and all I get is long list of things about Earth Day, April 22. Nothing terribly interesting, except the original Earth Day was March 21.

1985 March 9 The late Clarence M. Mitchell Jr., often referred to as the Senate's 101st Senator because of his ability to get his message across effectively as a lobbyist for the NAACP, with whom he had a relationship for some 40 years, is honored in Baltimore with the renaming of Court House West to the Clarence M. Mitchell Court House. This is in commemoration of his years of service to the cause of equality and justice. The ceremony is attended by hundreds of friends, supporters, and family, including Supreme Court Justices Thurgood Marshall and William Brennan.

On Dec. 3rd, a few years before I was born, 3,000 people were killed by a chemical spill in India.
