I'm not saying Vincent sucks as much as Cait Sith. I'm just saying that he sucks more than everyone else(Tifa, Cid, Yuffie, Red XIII). I might list him above Barret and Aerith on the suck-o-meter, but definitely below the other four.

Good. Actually, the only reason I REALLY defend Vincent and always use him is because I like the character. I always use Cloud, Vincent and Aeris until disc2. Then I use Cloud, Vincent and Tifa.

cloud,tifa,and barret.cloud had ultima weapon with hp plus on all the slots,counter attack,omnislash, and an aurora armlet.tifa had gods hand,final heaven,lightning,ice,restore,fire,and all mastered,fire armlet.barret had max ray,catastrophe,and neo bahumat.killed bizzaro and safer sephiroth in like 2 minutes each

I had Cloud, Red XIII and Cid. All Level 99. All with their ultimate Limit Breaks. All w/ Master Magic equipped, among other things. All unnecessary when it came to Safer Sephiroth. I killed that fool in 3 turns w/ Cloud's 4x-Cut. I didn't even bother casting magic. Point being: the final bosses suck ass, as does the music that plays while fighting them. (Some of the only bad music in FF7, I might add.)
Oh, and lay off Vincent. He's tight. Although I agree that his Limits are a pain in the ass, even Chaos.
One other thing. When fighting Sephiroth the final time (the one-on-one), you can choose not to use Omnislash. Sephiroth will attack and nearly kill you, and then Cloud will counter-attack for about 1100 damage and Sephiroth will die. It's just cooler to use Omnislash.

I'm not positive, but i know it was an all-male party. I have a basic-attack fetish and i lean towards people with uber-massive STR stats. It was.... Cloud, Red XIII, and Vincent. maybe Cid? I'm not sure, cuz i deleted my save file by accident RIGHT after I beat it the first time (And stared blankly at the screen too stunned to cry or speak for a good while)

Cloud, Barret, Cid
all best weapons' Cloud had Omnislash, 4x, a Mime, and KotR, ; Barret had Catastrophe (haven't played in a while i think that's lvl 4), and Ultima set with quadra, and a Mime; and Cid of course had Highwind, along with Mime, Phoenix/Final Attack, and like a master summon or something.
