							Getting rid of the cigarettes you have doesn't mean that you can't just go get some more, that won't work.  And cold turkey is rather difficult to do.  When I was trying to stop smoking, I started with the cold turkey method.  I tried three times.  I would just stop, but it was so bad that I would just pick it up again and I would start smoking more that I did before I tried to quit.
