There's a loan place with a phone number almost identical to our except for two switched numbers and we get their calls all day so if someone asks me for my number I give them the loan places phone number. Good fun.

I don't know what that is around joel, but in our part of the country
*anything* ending in 1212 gives either police or fire (331-1212, 333-1212, 226-1212 etc.) (and, yes, we do have 911, but that goes to county emergency while 1212 goes straight to the local department)

No, and I grew up with the song, so if I did get handed the number by chance, I'd know right away. xD
Interesting story, though: A girl named Erin supposedly gave me her phone number, (I asked for it, actually. I had a crush on her for about a week.) although it turned out to be a guy's number. You see, she had a male friend (just a friend, they weren't together or anything....) named Aaron. And then, mysteriously, my crush on her seised to exist. =D Life is funny like that, you know.
