Man, I havnt played a Suikoden game, and only played Xenogears. So Im biased towards Xenogears 100%.
Xenogears
Suikoden II
Wow, that is tough...

I haven't played the Suikoden games, but I'vw played and own Xenogears and its a great game...I luvs it.
Now I want to play the Suikoden games but unfortunately they've been banned here so I can't until I move.
I like Kung-Fu.
Luca Blight > all.
Grahf > Luca Blight
I haven't played Suikoden II yet (I haven't won the lottery so I can buy it), but everything is less than Grahf.
"Hahahahahaha, die pig!!!!!" *kill*
Luca Blight > all

That's total bulltrout. Sorry, but it is. Saying Suikoden II has a completely linear storyline is like saying Lunar SSSC's plot is too prosaic. None of the plot twists are of the size of Xenogears's, true, but there ARE plot twists, and the story is much more complicated than on the surface. Also, if you played Suikoden first, the plot development of Suikoden II is that much more rewarding.Originally Posted by Edgar
However, you are right that Luca Blight > all, as pretty much anyone who has played Suikoden II knows.
I suppose the Beast Rune doesn't qualify then?Originally Posted by Edgar
That's actually one bit of his story that I didn't completely understand, though.
He didn't have the Beast Rune "equipped" to him while you were fighting.
(SPOILER)The Beast Rune was passed down the Blight family, and I believe it's actually sealed into the Blight Castle(L'Renouille). Ol' what's-his-face unseals it at the end of the game - hence, the final boss battle. And earlier, Luca Blight had unsealed it to ravage Muse.
That's the only explanation I could think of, anyway.
Yeah, the beast rune requires a blood sacrifice before it does anything. So he has to have his strength in order to slaughter enough people for it.

That's a much better explanation than what I'd thought of (he had it, was able to use it, and didn't use it). Fair enough.Originally Posted by Raistlin
