The only player on that team I can even remotely sypathize with is Malone because he attempted to be a teammate to the rest of the squad, whilst every other "Star" seems to be playing one against five.

I don't have sympathy for any of those Laker players. Shaq's never been a great sportsman, Malone has always been a dirty player, Payton just whines too much, and Kobe thinks he's MJ.
As for the rest of the Lakers...let me just say this: If you have Rick Fox asking to be in the starting lineup, you know you're team is bad.
Yet Shaq is the only one doing anything worthwhile on the team.
I hate the Pistons because they play boring basketball. They score very few points, even in light of the horrid Lakers' defense.
I used to feel that way, Yams, that defensive basketball is boring, but with the Pistons, it's not. The Spurs...hell yes. They are boring. But it must be the fact that the Pistons are completely obliterating your precious Lakers that is making this quite enjoyable for me.
Yeah, it's hard to call kicking the Laker's ass boring basketball.
It is when all you do is clog up the lane with a bunch of players and hope that Kobe isn't doing well and will miss most of his shots. Shaq on the other hand could not be stopped.
And the team didn't get him the ball. Their fault? Yeah. The Lakers this year are not a team meant to win a championship, because they are stupid. They care more about themselves than about the team.
It's amazing how Kobe has not yet admitted that Tayshaun Prince is playing him well. Give the shrimp some credit. I guarantee that he's the main reason Kobe is shooting 31% in the series.
It always bothered me that people who accused defensive games as boring always had teams that lacked defense.
I remember when people called the Ravens boring, mainly those complaints came from Rams, Vikings, and Titans fans...offensive oriented teams that played no defense whatsoever.
So yeah, if the Lakers played defense and were defense oriented, I GUARANTEE none of these Laker bandwagon fans would ever call their teams boring.
Bandwagon fans? I've been a Lakers fan since the last days of "good" Magic and of Van Exel and Divac.
