Keep Flying
Justice?

For some reason, this reminds me of Oswald being killed soon after JFK. If the government could track them down so swiftly, it would seem very probable that they could get there just a bit sooner and possibly save this man's life. Then again, Saudi Arabia is probably one of the most corrupt nations on the face of this Earth, yet we still consider them "friends."
Frankly, this final statement scares me the most: "These (kidnappers) are holy warriors, heroes, who never waver, even if they will fail," Mizahen al-Etbi told the AP. "All Saudis hate Americans, not only these heroes."
Take care all.

I think the Saudis caught the bad guys after they dumped the body. Not really surprising that they'd be caught at that time, unless it's common to find dead bodies lying around in Saudi Arabia.
It's strange that you hear on TV "10 people died in a battle in some city or another" every day and it doesn't really register, but if you hear a graphic description of someone being beheaded, it seems much worse. Dead is dead, whether by gun or bomb or knife. Hard to think logically at all about this kind of thing, isn't it? Too many emotions involved.
I don't know why the terrorists keep up this kind of crap anyways. It doesn't work. It just makes people angrier and more eager to hunt them down.

Unpostmodernizeable
Well, again the wonderful concept of justice as revenge. "This man is collaborating with USA, he is an infidel, he is implicated in the deaths of arabs, therefor we must kill him". Well, it's an absurd logic from my point of view.
As Unne said, the more they do this, the more desire to hunt them down the create. The more violence inflicted on the arab population, the more desire they have to do this. It's a vicious circle.
Of course, since both sides are "the good guys" and "the demons", it seems like this will take an eternity to end.
