BST isn't British Standard Time (nor is it anything to do with bulls, as crossed my mind when I first heard it), but is British Summer Time. In other words, it's GMT +1, with the +1 added for daylight savings. I felt like being pedantic.
To be fair, looking outside, calling this "Summer" is highly debatable. Bloody Britain.
