Keep Flying
Something that blows my mind is that people don't seem to understand that if you put on muscle, you'll be gaining weight since muscle is the heaviest thing you can add to your body. Many people, after working out, seem to think they've suddenly become overweight and diet, which weakens the body and makes the muscles almost obsolete.
As others have said, it's all the crazes of modern society that have contributed to the wide variety of diets. Anyone and their mother can make money if you claim to know how to lose weight by eating the way they choose. Thing is, every person is different and what works for one might not work another or for anyone else for that matter. What it all boils down to, is that you eat only as much as you need to feel healthy, not less so that you feel lighter, or not more because it's something to do.
Obviously, the other component is exercise. I don't care who you are, without exercise, and not just once in a blue moon, but actual regular exercise, no diet will help you get skinny AND healthy.
Take care all.
