Quistis has some high points.

That fabulous animated body.
Oh, she also has a whip.

She has those and more.

Quistis was okay. She was pretty cool in the beginning of the game, but as the story progressed she, and any other character excluding Squall and Rinoa fell into a complete lack of developement. FFVIII had potential for some great and memorable characters, but they blew their chance and ignored everyone else so they could focus on Squall and Rinoa.

Quistis actually seemed like a real person. Her response to Squall in the Secret Area after the SeeD Ball proved that she had real emotions and actually cared about other people. She was looking for some help, a brave quality as some find it difficult to admit they're not alright on their own. ::coughsquallcough::

She had the potential, but Square blew it.

Yeah. She seemed ok in the beginning, but by the middle of the story, it was like she didn't even exist. She only came in (SPOILER)when we found out about the orphanage.

to me, she didn't really have a personality. not because she wasn't developed enough, but all you could say about her was that she was sad, she tries to help squall, fails...what else is there? in the beginning i liked quistis a lot, but after a while, since she didn't come into the story at all, that's when i started...i guess disliking, would be the right word for her.
