Default MGS Special Missions on PS2

    Howdy.

I'm having trouble getting the Metal Gear Solid: Special Missions disc to load on my PS2. On the PS1, the game asks for either disc of the original MGS to be inserted, before the Special Missions disc is re-inserted. However, when I change discs here - removing the Special Missions disc and inserting an MGS disc - all I get is an "error - wrong disc" screen. Even though I'm following exactly the same procedure as the game specifies...

I don't believe there's any particular fault with my PS2, it doesn't object to any other PS1 software at all. It simply refuses to take part in the multi-disc loading process.

    Any hints?

From my understanding you simply can't do this particular disc switch on the PS2. You can only play the Special Missions on the original PSX.

Well I'll be jiggered if that doesn't suck mightily.

Thanks for the info, Shoyku, somehow I knew you'd be able to answer this one.

Pity Sony didn't do their homework properly when designing the PS2 to play PS1 games
