Hmmm. Try updating your soundcards drivers if you haven't already. If that doesn't work, I have no clue what it could be and you should either contact Square-Enix, search more FFXI sites for troubleshooting, or just re-install the whole game and prey it works. If it doesnt fix after re-install then it's your PC for sure, and I would highly recommend contacting Square-Enix about this problem.
