    Default FFXI - People's Views

    I've been to a lot of web pages and seen a lot of reader reviews about FFXI. Some say it's utter s**t, others say it's the best MMORPG ever, period. Which one do you agree with and why? Also, I think a lot of people who say it's bad, didn't get into the game much (e.g. past Lvl 20). Is it that hard that people will just give up playing before level 20? Also, what's with the gill in this game? To my utter disbelief, there is a site in which you can exchange something like 700 million gill for 7000$! Gill for cash.... Sounds good to me. What do YOU think?

    This game is awesome. It MIGHT be a bit boring in the beginning when you can't see every great thing in this game yet and most of all you have to solo your way to level 10 - 12 ( I soloed 'till level 15). Seriously, this game rocks. I've played Ragnarok Online and Pristontale and I would never even compare these games with FFXI, because FFXI is in his own class.

    Well i will first say that i know somewhere in the EULA that its against TOS or some kind of rule to buy gil, so if your every caught somehow..your going to get banned.

    Now as for reviews its either they did not play it high enough, or its not their kind of game, remember this FF is different compared to other FFs, and some like, and obviously some dont. So the thing is to really just try it out for yourself.

    Its not that bad, its just you need to level a subjob in order to get higher than lvl 20 in Qufim so you can actually help the party and alot of people just dont bother to lvl their subs sometimes (which is a dumb and bad thing) for whatever reason. And then if they are heading for an advance job in 30, they have to go through the 30 lvls again, hence why some ppl, dont like it, but its not that bad.

    I think its one of the best MMOs made, but thats solely my opinion. Reviews are just that, opinions, play and find out for yourself ^^

    It's an interesting game, I like how they put dependency on partying, you actually have to be part of the community... Whether or not that is a good or bad thing may vary, but I like it.

    While falling short of perfection in a number of ways, FFXI is the most impressive game, and the most addictive game I've ever played. Square's done soo many things right in this game that I've fallen in love with them all over again. It's got everything you could possibly ever want from a game. FFXI is easily the most difficult Final Fantasy ever(though that's not saying much) which has been the problem with the last few FF's-they've been way too easy. Throwing in a couple "Difficult" bosses falls short of adding significant challenge to a game. But I think they got it right this time. And I really feel the community. I'm really impressed with that aspect. I never thought it would be this...I don't want to say realistic...but realistic. People are just so friggin helpful it's uncanny.

    So anyway, i agree with lionx and kegsay that people are getting frustrated with the difficulty and never getting past lvl 20, which means that they're not enjoying an accurate experience of the game. I can see where people could give up. I just happened to be one of the many who made it past that stage. And I'll never look back.

    I agree with the difficulty, i am at lvl 50 and if i was to farm for all the stuff i need to become a highly and "elite" equiped WHM, i prolly have to spend around 700K and battles again leap a whole new lvl of difficulty i heard after lvl 52. So its hard just to get prepared -_-;;
