She's been around for quite a while. Surely you remember the Locomotion girl?

Well, she was a great icon during the 80's in the US. She's Australian born(which automatically makes her more attractive than everyone else) and while she wasn't too popular during the 90's in the US, she was huge in the UK and Australia. So huge in fact that she sold more albums than Madonna in the UK at one point. Also, too many people forget this, but she also played as Cammy in Street Fighter, thankfully for us, we shouldn't remember that movie.

Anyways, my #1 was Every Breath You Take by The Police(US). Give it Up by KC and the Sunshine Band(UK).

    31st January, 1982:

UK: 'Oh Julie' by Shakin' Stevens. Wow, a real classic. *ahem*

US: 'I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)' by Daryl Hall and John Oates. I'm afraid that's completely lost on me.

The U.S. No.1 on the 25th February 1982 was... Centrefold by The J. Geils Band.

Huh? Ok, I know a lot of 80's songs, but this one doesn't ring a bell.

The U.K. No.1 on the 25th February 1982 was... Town Called Malice / Precious by The Jam.

    See above.
