FFXI Updates

Hey all,

I have installed FFXI and RoZ plus Play Online and updated it. I can't play yet because of the server maintenance. tell me please if I will have to endure more updates when I am finally able to play. Btw, the maintenance is between 10-13 PDT or 17-20 GMT today (June 6th). This is really great since I just got the game /sarcasm. *sigh*, I guess i'll play at 8?

Uh, Today is July 6th ;p and yes, there are monthly maintenances and updates, takes a few hours, last one we had lasted 10 hours so suck it up like the rest of us ;p We all have to wait when that happens :P Have fun playing ;p I've noticed a LOT more disconnecting since the last uber long update, which is really frustrating.

Thanks but that doesn't help much. I was wondering if, after the update, will I have to download anything off the FFXI servers bearing in mind that this is my first time? If so, how long will it take because I'm only going to have an 1hr until I have to go... I have broadband.. Sorry if I didn't make that clear, my bad.

If you have broadband ithink an hour or so is a reasonable d/l. Asumming your broadband is decent at least. 2hrs max.

BTW since you want to go on midgard, send me a PM or IM after your done with patches for a pass to get in.

Right right ok. I just hope it doesn't take long.. I only have 1hr then i gtg. Then I'll have to wait till Fri. Ahh well, something to look forward to i guess .
