Try telling that to UNNE.

Me too.
Rainecloud says:
That's why I'm still using IE.

I rest my weary case. Screw the chance of getting a virus, I'll take my chances with SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY WORKS, kthnx. Never got an error in mscvrt.dll, or whatever it is, in IE.

Firefox has been good to me as that each time I open IE. I get this spyware that always leads to this site "Casino Palazzo" and I can't stop it, so I stopped using IE. As for Firefox. I agree with tabs. I don't particularly like them, but there's an option to make Firefox to open windows instead of getting a new tab.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

I agree with Lindz. I tried Firefox, it sucked. Anyway, didn't Rainecloud say he loved Firefox in that Unne thread?

This post is a semi-troll, but I'll go ahead and tell you how you're wrong anyways.

[qq]It's so ugly and slow, and doesn't work[/qq]

Theme it; it's not slow; it does work.

[qq]I try and import stuff from IE, and it CRASHES[/qq]

You should start from scratch with Firefox, rather than infest Firefox with the trash IE has accumulated.

[qq]I search for more extensions and themes, and it says it can't find the server[/qq]

http://update.mozilla.org , http://texturizer.net/firefox/ , need any others? Because I know of plenty of places to get Firefox themes. Note: extensions and themes for IE don't even exist.

[qq]I went to EoFF using it, and I had to re-enter my username and password[/qq]

Those 5 seconds worth of typing were certainly traumatic, right? I mean, compared to having personal information stolen or your hard drive formatted by a virus, I can see why having to type your password into EoFF again is far worse than that.

[qq]Plus it's a tabbed browser, and I don't know about you, but I find something comforting in having lots of windows open[/qq]

One window per popup ad, you mean?

Internet Explorer is by far the superior browser... HOWEVER, in accordance with the EVIL that is Microsoft, all kinds of spywares, pop-ups and various trout cling to it, making it impossible to use as time goes by. So, you have to use other, simpler browsers, like Firefox.

[qq]Theme it; it's not slow; it does work.[/qq]

Why bother since I'm not going to use? ; Yes, it is, it runs far slower than IE, loads far slower too ; No, it doesn't work, since I've tried to customise just a few things and it crashes

[qq]You should start from scratch with Firefox, rather than infest Firefox with the trash IE has accumulated.[/qq]

What? Trash like the USEFUL favourites I have, or the saved passwords maybe?

[qq]http://update.mozilla.org , http://texturizer.net/firefox/ , need any others? Because I know of plenty of places to get Firefox themes. Note: extensions and themes for IE don't even exist.[/qq]

So? IE has all it needs in it anyway.

[qq]Those 5 seconds worth of typing were certainly traumatic, right? I mean, compared to having personal information stolen or your hard drive formatted by a virus, I can see why having to type your password into EoFF again is far worse than that.[/qq]

I don't get viruses because I don't open emails from people I don't know, or go to dodgy sites, but then maybe people who use firefox do that very often and so need some kind of extra protection =)

[qq]One window per popup ad, you mean?[/qq]

Pop-ups being something I never get thanks to Spybot Tea-Timer and a nice pop-up stopper.

Nice to see enough people agreeing with me anyway.

I don't see how this is a semi-troll thread anyway, unless Firefox happens to be a member at this forum?

P.S. I HAVE tried using it, I tried for about an hour, testing it out and such, but it just felt clunky and horrible, maybe I'll give it a go later on, but I doubt it.

I've tried using things other than I.E. I tried using Firebird when suggested, but that felt equally horrible, tried Mozilla, hated that too. Netscape is just unmentionable, Avant browser is pretty terrible, and the best of a bad bunch I'd have to say is Opera, but even that is pretty dire.

I think, for once, I'll quite happily conform to windows standards (Hi Nait!), because no matter what can happen to my computer, it can't get worse than it already is. I have enough protection from everything, spyware, viruses and everything, and I don't look at anything dodgy so I don't really need to worry.
