He did, for about a day. I liked it to begin with, and then the flaws became apparent.

It's ugly? Not really. But that's personal preference. I don't sit and stare at the top of the screen anyway. I'm usually reading the website I'm looking at.

It's slow? I think it must be something with you. It has never been slow for me.

Flaws? What flaws. In my opinion, firefox works just about the same as IE minus the problems with IE. And tabbed browsing is great. I don't know how I ever lived without it.

But in the end, I really don't care what browsers you all use. I'm going to stick with the one I like, you do the same. It's not like I have to use your computer.

Firefox is ugly, yes, I'll agree with that, especially the download manager. Which is why I stick to Mozilla myself, same inner workings as far as I know

    Agreed
I use to use that stuff but it got really slow after a while and just went to hell on my computer.
I now use Mozilla and it works really well.

You and your people have forsaken all that which is holy and good - you have never embraced it! I will not turn before your assault, for I shall speak unto you, and make yourself turn unto me, and the redemption you shall find in the Fox.

For hath not Unne spoken? For hath not Unne spoken? I ask thee, and thee, and thee, you who are here! HATH not Unne SPOKEN? And I say to you, YES, Unne has SPOKEN! And he hath not spoken to me, and he hath not spoken to himself, NO, Unne is speaking to YOU...! UNNE is SPEAKING to YOU, Lindz and BoB and Raine! UNNE is SPEAKING to YOU! Listen to his words! Listen... To the Fox! Liiisten to the word of the Fox! Search your souls, all who have come here, I say to thee, search thine soul! Seaaarch thine soul, I say, SEARCH thine soul, and embrace, I say, embrace the Fire you find there! Embrace that Fire, and that fire shalt make you free again! Embraaace that Fire!

When I got broadband, I thought pages were loading rather slowly in IE, so I switched to Firefox and I noticed a major increase in speed.

Most of the 0.9 themes are very, very ugly. Phoenity Neo hasn't been ported yet, which I need ;_;.

And tabbed browsing is one of the best things I like about it. When I ever use IE, I keep trying to third mouse button click links and nothing happens.

I'll freely admit that I wouldn't mind seeing an IE with a tabbed browsing option, although I don't know for sure if I'd use it. I only ever have three windows open max, and I like having them all available to me at the bottom of the page with a single click, mainly I flick between programs more often than I flick between different IE windows. That means that if I was using tabbed browsing that I would need to click to the program and then to the window, whereas without tabbed browsing all the different windows are at the bottom already. If that makes any sense. But options are indeed always nice. Then again, I don't use the tabbed IM window option on DeadAIM either.

Aesthetics and using the same browser for everything I do no matter where I am is more important to me, though. I have difficulty with change. One thing I plan to do once I have the money is purchase a second PC, put it into my second bedroom and get my place recabled (there's no way I'd use a router) so I can use the PC in my room for all my usual activities (browsing, site work, music etc) and the PC in the second room can be used for messing around with. I hope to have it set with both XP and Linux and also to have the RAM/Graphics Card capable of running larger programs.

IE vs. Firefox is definitely a case of personal opinion, though, not what is "right" or "wrong" - people use both of them and either have problems or don't have problems. I don't have problems with IE and I do have problems with Firefox.

    Re: Candy

See, it's like this. Firefox is a plate at a self-service table - you can decide what you want to eat. IE is a bag of sweets - and razorblades.
