Yeah sorry I wish I was rich enough to switch to Linux (if its actually any good) but sadly I'm not.

dmka, go to Tools, Options, Themes, and Get New Themes. That'll fix it. I've switched themes now.

The only thing you have the be rich in is patience. Linux is free, remember? But yeah, patience. *MSWhore85*

In this picture I have five sites open at one time, but only one browser window. I can switch between each one by clicking on its respective tab up top. Much nicer than having five browser windows open.

You don't have to do anything to enable it. If you have a mouse with the middle mouse wheel, you can click on links with that to open it in a new window. If you don't, you can either right-click links and say "Open in new tab" or CTRL+Left click does it.

I use a mixture of tabs and windows, 40 tabs in one window is too cluttered

Anyone who has a good firewall and doesn't go to stupid sites is likely to be pretty well protected and IE6 is pretty safe/robust. I imagine anyone who has Firefox does have a good firewall and doesn't go to stupid sites, so that along with the fact that fewer people use it has a lot more to do with Firefox's good record than most other things do. If a billion people used Firefox with no firewall and they browsed a load of dodgy sites, I imagine that there would be just as many people discovering problems as there are with IE right now. I agree that they would get solved faster and that less people would target a non-profit software, which could be used as an argument to say it's safer to use Firefox, but that doesn't mean that the software is literally that much more robust. It just means it hasn't been put to the test like IE has - I don't think any other software program in browser history ever will be put to such a test, either. But hey, I get by without any problems - IE hasn't crashed on my PC for years. Even when that spam attack came along, while it caused IE to keep refreshing the window, nothing else bad really happened. You'll find that a lot of the problems with IE are actually user-caused rather than hacker-caused, and a lot of them could have been solved by simply adjusting the settings. I think there's a site out there that tests your IE browser and advises on what settings you can change to avoid what problems.

I'll never deny that IE is less safe, but that's about as far as it goes. Safety measures can be taken to secure yourself almost as well as any Firefox user, if not just as well.
