Default I think it's time for the Political Compass!

Seeing as how this forum seems to attract both reasonable people and right wing nuts alike, and we haven't had a Political Compass thread in a while, I thought we might have a take at it now.

A method deviced to differentiate more than the usual Left-Right distinction, http://www.politicalcompass.org/ tries to show you where you belong on a Left v. Right / Social Liberal v. Fascist chart.

And apt analogy being D&D alignments, from Lawful Chaotic Good all they way to the Authoritarian Right.

The last time we had this thread around, most Eyesoners fell into the third quarter - Liberal Left, with, for example, Wyllius being a moderate Authoritarian Leftist.

    This time I find myself

    LR -5.00
    LibAuth -6.72

putting me comfortably near the lower left of the chart:
    http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/poli...=-5.00&Y=-6.72

I shall attempt to make a composite chart of the results, so please use clear formatting when you announce your result. Also, you can find a link on the result page which takes you straight to a chart-only page, as above.

    EDIT:

Of course it's Chaotic Good, not Lawful Good. :rolleyes2 Silly me.

"Abstract art that doesn't represent anything shouldn't be considered art at all."

Does that has anything to do with politics? Well, still, anyone who says that deserves to be slapped.

OK, I fall on "left libertarian", on the second line from the bottom and in the third line from the left. In other words, I'm a red and I should be put in jail.

By the way, puting anarchism in the center is quite ridiculous, in my opinion. As far as I know, the objectives of anarchism and communism are both the end of the state.

    Edit:

Notice how all the rulers seem to fall into "authoritarian". And this is why, kids, the state should be destroyed.

I thought the Anarchism there was just to show that Social Liberalism => Anarchism. *_*

And communism isn't about the end of the state, pfftt. Well, maybe one or two, but not the communist state.

    EDIT:

On a side-note, you're a nut! Only through an enlightened, liberal state can there be any progress - because states are inevitable, and I definitely do not want to be overrun by unliberal, unenlightened states. I still love you.

Ahhh...you see, thats a misconception of Marx. *grabs a dictionare..a normal dictionare, not an Evil Commie One*

    "Comunismo

Doctrina iniciada por Marx y Engels que interpreta la historia como una continua lucha de clases cuyo fin es el logro de una sociedad sin diferencias sociales ni propiedad privada, de la que haya desaparecido el Estado."

Translation: "Doctrine initiated by Marx and engels that understands history as a continuous fight of classes with the finality to end up in a society without social differences nor private property, where the State has dissapreared"

And after having read Marx, I must say that definition is correct. Aren't you confusing socialism and communism? Socialism is a period done BEFORE communism, because a straight jump from capitalism to communism (Very similar to anarchy, very) would create a chaos, since the suprastructure is meant to be changed first.

wow, it must be like the 10th time I explain the differences between socialism and communism in this forum.

    Yes.

Or not. What tells me the state is inevitable? Social structure is inevitable, yes, but is the state inevitable? OK, maybe it is, but I have no definate evidence that shows me it is inevitable, so in the end it is a matter on the trust you have on humanity, or on what do you think humanity can be capable of. And if the state is inevitable, then live as if it wasn't, since the superhuman is beyond it. Also sprach Zarathustra.

    I still love you.

I didn't fully understand some of the questions, though.

Oh, yes, and I am a nut. Actually, according to the test I am a libertarian communist...like Saramago! And everyone knows Saramago is kinda...God, and stuff.

I've taken this test soooooo many times, I love to see how I change each time...

    http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/poli...=-3.12&Y=-8.10 for the image

    I'm Economic Left/Right: -3.12 and Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.10

which puts me 3.12 points to the left, and 3.10 points "down" from where I was 6 months ago.
