Adware/SpyBot mishaps

[Ouch!]

After I found three trojans on my computer, I downloaded adware and spybot to prevent this kind of thing. Today I ran both programs. Naturally they found some problems. I looked over the files that I they wanted to fix or delete. All these files appeared to be things that I had obtained over the internet such as spyware and the likes.

Apparently, that wasn't all that was messed up. Apparently my computer can no longer recognize sound files. I haven't seen if it also screws up my games but I cannot play any of my music. Visuals still work, but as far as the sound goes, it's busted.

Any suggestions?

Format your hard drive and reinstall Windows. Once you've been compromised there's no way to know if you're clean or not.

I just modified Sound Blaster Live! and everything is working now. I'm glad it worked out without having to do something drastic.
