I've gotta say that there was this one boss in Legend of the Mystical Ninja who was damn fat.

He was this weird sumo, and we could never see his body, just his face. He would grow bigger and bigger the more times you hit him. By the time he was almost dead his fat face was covering the entire screen. You'd have to duck in a corner in order not to take contact damage from him.
