Noob thread: Why things work like they do in rpgs

Hey, This is Chu52's first thread yay^^
anywho,my freinds suggested this for me and that name has nothing to do with those vile pokemon things, those are intials to something close to me with an interesting number after ward.
To the point, Why do random beast give out gil and items?

Well my theory is that some controlling government power gives adventures money for bringing in the pelts and heads of beast or just ridding the world of these vile things in general, mayhap there is an automatic system built into weopons to give out gil. Then all items are found in the beast, ie Yuna have this lovely ring from the stomach of that vile being^^
But that is just my theory, anyone else care to chime in?
