yes, but i already knew that it was added during the red scare. its amazing how this is never brought up in the debate to remove under god from the pledge. that, in m opinion, is reason enough to take that wording out. of course the best solution may be to simply ban the pledge itself.

As for me, I don't care about the under God thing. Really, I don't care for that Pledge. When I discovered it existed I was surprised, because things such as that did happen in Spain too, but from 1939 to 1975, that is, during the fascist dictatorship.
I still don't think it should be banned. I find it stupid, but I guess many people don't, so if they really believe in what they are saying, go ahead and say it. I don't think anyone should be forced though.

Anyway, thats a very interesting video...I think it should still be played today (perhaps a updated version of it, with color and such, but none of the info changed). Yeah a big grin arose on my face when they were saying the pledge. For that sole purpose...that it was added durning the red scare...I think it needs to be done away with...then again I don't care for the pledge at all myself, so eh, the people who actually do care about it can argue about it I guess.
