How could they really make a sequel to X-2? Didn't X-2 have multiple endings? So there could be multiple sequels to continue on with the each ending. Unless of course, they just stuck went on from the "perfect ending" and did a sequel from that. But then that'd just make it a little confusing for those who hadn't seen the "perfect ending" in X-2 and, they'd have to play X-2 and try and get the "perfect ending" to really understand X-3.
