Final Fantasy VIII Riddles

To me...the way The One is typed, usually that refers to a higher being, like God...saying you pray to Him...

But in FFVIII, I don't remember any praying going on, so I'm guessing it's either Squall (because of a main character) or God...because of her clue, "when thou need help, who do you claim"...and usually one will say "please God help me"

You`re right, it`s Hyne, and, yes he is mentioned in FFVIII, because he`s the creator of the world, and the sorceress are so powerful, because they have a piece of Hyne´s power.
