what's the subscriptions folder for? is it like my little archive?

If there's a thread you want to keep your eye on, you can subscribe to it and be notified when it's posted in. It's probably in the FAQ, though I'm not too sure. And someone's going to close this thread because it's a year old.

It's not really an archive, because if the thread is deleted in the forum, it'll disappear from your folder too But yes, you can use it as a convenient place to put threads in the same place that you want to watch
