it's pretty dumb that the game has patheticly crappy items to exchange points for with low points. the only good thing you can get is the card and the robe of lords thing. which is better? the card or robe? whats the card like?

If you collect cards that is the only place to get that one. Otherwise go with the robe, though you can synth them at the end of the game.

Go with the robe! The card is useless in battle, so yeah...
Robe of Lords is the best armor for your mages. But getting three shouldn't be a problem if you don't end up buying one with your points.

I find the Black Robe more useful than the Robe of Lords for the abilites you can learn from it (MP+20%, Flare, Reflectx2). Though once they're learnt the Robe of Lords is always my first choice armour for my magic users.
