I know that they are not real

I know Merpeople are not real but how do they reproduce
I would love to be happy, but unfortunately I'm too busy being awesome and kicking your ass at everything

You just became number two on my awesome list for asking that question. I love you.

I figure they reproduce like fishies, since their bottom halves are fishie like. It would suck to be a merperson

    Signature by rubah. I think.

They're asexual. Since they're like fish, they reproduce like them, not entirely. They have mer-eggs which come from their mouths... Yes, their mouths (Merpeople are an odd race). The eggs are pretty frickin' big too... >_>;; I bet it hurts.

They lay eggs and wait for the male to fertilize them, perhaps?

Futurama answers this question rather well:

Fry (gasping): Why couldn't she be the other type of mermaid, with the fish part on top and the lady part on the bottom?
