Default Torrent Clients

My problem is that im getting extremly low D/L Speeds with my torrents. Im on cable and my speeds are at highest 7kb/s, and its usaully at about 3kb/s. Im currently using ABC as a client and im wondering if there are better ones or if its something else.

Edit-I found another client and its working better, a mod can delete this.

If you're routered/firewalled, you might want to consider forwarding ports to your client so others can connect to you hence allowing you to have more peers/seeds to download from. Nothing to do with the client you use at all. Either that, or you're downloading from rather unpopular or dying/dead torrents.

I think it is because I like to download unpopular torrent . I did the port forwording thing on my router but see much of a difference..I hope I did it right. I switched to BitTornado and my peak went to 25kb/s so I guess I'll settle with that.

Could you point to a link for the better client? ABC sucks.

I've always found Azureus to be one of the best, if not the best, BT client. I usually get around 80-120kbps on it, even if there are not a lot of peers.

I'd say BitTornado (the successor to Shad0w's client) is probably best suited for the average user, although Azureus is my preference with more options etc. in it. Azureus's main drawback is it also needs a good copy of Java installed, which also means it eats more CPU than the average client.
