Lufia II was such a masterpiece. I could never go back to how sub-par the first one was. I know the most annoying aspect of the game is the random encounter rate.
NO JOKE: Random encounter every four steps in Lufia. Thank the gods they switched to visible enemies in the second one. So far the game has been nothing but me running from town to town, solving each town's problems in my quest to find the guy that knows the guy that knows the guy that was the guy that fought alongside the legendary hero, Maxim.
I really hope the last bosses aren't the Sinistrals. If the last boss is Daos I'm going to throw a fit. Really I want to feel that I actually accomplished something in Lufia 2. If the final bosses are all the same well then I really didn't get anywhere in the prequel, did I? I hope they throw out Arek at me. I saw a bit of the guy in Lufia 2 and he seemed like an awesome villain. Hopefully I'll be seeing a bit more of him. But who knows, with the big disappointment the game has been so far it looks like I'm going to have to deal with Gades, Amon, Erim and Daos all over again. Fun.
