I've smoked for 14 years now. I've tried to quit on regular intervals for the past 10 years. Tried cold turkey, tried over-smoking to make myself sick, switching brands sporadically (again, to make myself sick... some people claim this works), Nicorette. Reason why it's never stuck I suppose is because I've quit alot of other drugs, too, and there's only so much willpower I can expend at any particular time. I plan to try the patch next, but there's still the matter of keeping myself from drinking... cause I'm such a bad drunk... Well, one thing at a time.

I really do want to quit, though. I managed to quit for a whole month and a half once. I saved a ton of money, felt better after working out, sex was fantastic all over again. Smoking affects you on more levels than I think most people realise. It's going to be really nice to be able to call myself smoke free again one of these days.
