A few years ago I was skiing in Panorama, BC. Needless to say, this experience has made me a much more cautious skiier.

I started a run by flying off of a jump, but little did I know the entire run was covered with ice. I wiped out immediately, and lost a ski. I then took my other ski off and started climbing up the mountain to get the lost ski. Unfortunately, I slipped and began sliding down the mountain on my ass at an uncontrollable speed. On top of that, snow was flying in my face and I couldn't see anything. To make matters worse, my body rotated around so my back was facing the trees. I recall thinking,"God, please save me" as I thought I was dead for sure. Luckily, I managed to turn myself around at the last second and I flew directly into trees, with my right shin nailing the tree. Somehow, I didn't break my shin either.

I think the moral of the story is drink lots of milk and don't ski like a naive idiot.
