To farm eh. How exactly do you farm? Fight some low leveled monsters. Helshba outpost yeah yeah. But what do you do exactly? To farm does it mean just kicks some monsters arses a lot? I'm so confused. Sorry if this was brought up already.

To farm, means to kill monsters for their drops, typically low lvl ones and not ones that can kick your ass solo. Farming can be beastmen for gil and their crystals, or it can be those cute mandies that drop cotton. Thats the jist of farming i think.

Ahh Okay I think I got it. So basically for crystals and stuff that they drop?

Pretty much whatever they drop yes..^^

Ahh okay thank you. But I was looking in people bazzar and there was one person who had like a blue drop and a yellow drop. What's that? Do you use that to grow plants? Am I getting things kixed up?

That's just food type items.

They are candy recieved from the event that is taking place right now if you goldfish. Each candy is only recieved from events, and have diff effects, the only ones that i know of the effects is white and black. White is Reraise for a while, and Black is really useful, its a Instant Warp effect.

Just don't try to farm creatures that are TOO low-level if you want crystals. I guarantee, if you fight something that conns as Too Weak To Be Worthwhile, it will not drop a crystal. No exp = no crystal.

At low levels, you can farm Yagudo in Giddeus for wind crystals, but by the time you hit levels 15-20, the Tier 1 Yagudo won't drop crystals anymore, and the Tier 2s are a major pain in the hoo-has, so it's time to switch to Crawlers in East Sarutabaruta. They'll be TWTBW, so they won't drop crystals, but everything else they drop is worth at least 200 gil a shot. Silk Threads (very very VERY rare drop) are worth 900. Problem is, nothing they drop except silk is stackable, so you spend a lot of time running to the AH or quest NPCs to unload your inventory

Okay thanks. So when I'm farming do you apparently get a whole pod of monsters to go chasing you? I see some people running back to the entrance to the western gate of Souther San'doria with at least 3+ monsters on them. From there on do they just fight at the entrance?

That's training. Farming is when you kill trout for easy money.

Usually, I farm one monster at a time. I don't like training, because it f**ks people who are trying to level by stealing all of their targets.

For the crystal prob you can ALWAYS get a new job and lvl up on bees and the sort for free crystals.

There are types of farming, i farm elementals where i just camp a spot where it spawns and beat every other competitor. Training mob farming includes getting a ton, then using a Weapon Skill or -aga spell that will wipe out all of them around you. Usually mob train farming should be done in an area where there isnt alot of parties you will endanger and/or steal their mobs.
