I was wondering if its possible to beat the game while Chrono's dead. Have you tried it before?

I would yes you can but there is no character named Chrono...what? You mean it is just another person that doesn't know how to spell the main character's name? Damn.

In short after my sarcasm, yes you can beat the game with out Crono. You get a different ending. You first time through the game I do believe you can beat the game at any point after you get to the end of time...though it would be impossible due to being grossly underleveled.

(SPOILER)In the ending, Crono's cat doesn't go in the portal at the end, Crono doesn't walk around with Marle(for onvious reasons) and at the end, Marle drifts away on balloons to Death Peak where she sees Crono walking towards her.

I have actually beaten the game without Crono, but like my endings happy. Same reason why I prefer to kill Magus: even though Magus was just that poor, messed up kid Janus on the inside, I still think Frog deserves a better ending. And I like human Frog better...

Actually, you can fight the final boss after you get into the Teleporter-thingie area in Leene Square. Look on the right telepod; you should see something glimmering . . .

You can only fight the final boss with two characters in your party at this point in the game though. However, this ending can be reached later in the game, when your party encounters the final boss through natural course of the game. However, although you have a full party, the first form (and perhaps subsequent ones, but most noticably the first) is much harder.
