I've always been against stupid volcane building, but if we keep away from the very center of it - and that should be relativelly easy, considering the frikking mountain is in a chain - well, volcanoes offer many benefits.
Even though I've lamented to myself those people who built Pompeii, it IS true that volcanoes offer tremendous agricultural opportunities. Rich soil, for one. I think. Possibly.
If we keep out of the way of that stupid volcano, it shouldn't be such a threat. Except maybe for the ash.
Hope there aren't any earthquakes, though.
