It's certainly untrue. There's only one Dark Knight (Gafgarion). Orlandu can use Dark Knight attacks. That's it.
Sure you can turn him into a Dark Knight, but only by hacking into the game (GameShark), but nobody likes a cheater.

No, it IS true! You just have to go to Horror with Agrias, Reis, Beowulf, Ramza, and Meliadoul! They ALL must have every job mastered and be Mimes! Then You must get in a battle with ALL ninjas. If there is a Samurai in the opposing party, it won't work! YOu must have 99 of every item including Elixers, too! Now, you must Kill all but one male Ninja and surround hime with Agrias, Meliadoul, Reis, and Beowulf. Have Ramze walk one space at a time until he touches every single panel twice. Now, kill the Ninja. By the way, you can't take ANY damage during this whole battle! If you take even a single HP damage, it won't work! Now, after the battle ends, you must go all the way to Gariland Magic City, Ramza's hometown without getting in any random battles! Go to the bar and select Rumor. Then, slap yourself in the face for even reading this bunch of nonsense!

Even with gameshark you cant. Then again I only got a PS2 for grand turismo lol....darn those liscense things. But I got a gameshark for PS1. You can;t change him to be a darknight.
