I'm dunno if you already knew this but I just figured it out.

What did I figure out? Well i just worked out that you will never see a real time mickey mouse in any of the kingdom hearts games ever? why? because of his ears.
My Art teacher used to work for disney (or so she says) and pointed out that in every picture of mickey mouse (and minnie) the ears are pointing towards you, even when hes to the side (do a google search). Thats why he wont be there and thats why in the first game you couldn't rotate the minnie mouse modle.
Sorry if you already knew, but I just figured it out.

I always noticed that Mickey's ears were weird. Even in a profile view, Mickey's ears are still equally spaced as if it was a portrait. Maybe a little rotated but still the same space.

I gather that he means you will never see Mickey in an event where the characters are free to move around, because if you rotate the camera around him the ears will stay the same.

I don't see the big deal here, they just made their "ears" face the camera at all times, Mickey's only in one part of a scene, and you barely see him, so why waste the time creating his ears if no one's gona care anyways?
