    Euro Version?

    If i buy the Euro version or Japenese version of ffx will i be able to play them on my American PS, or are they specialy encoded or some weird trout like that?

    All games are encoded according to region, so unless you have a mod-chip you have to make sure the region for your games and system match.

    So, no. North American version for the North American PS2

    They are specially encoded. The Japanese one if NTSC-J encoded, and the Euro version is PAL encoded. The American PS only reads NTSC-US, so they won't work without a mod chip.

    Yah, mod it if you want to fight the dark aeons, but when it comes down to it, it may not be worth doing. And also, moding means you lose your warinty.

    There's somehting you can buy for like $30 that lets you play PAL. Not sure about Japan. I THINK its custom PS2 dot com or something.
