Default Argh. It's Stuck In My Head.

I'm not talking about literal objects here, but rather annoying tunes and songs. As I was walking up my stairs this morning, I realised that I had been playing the Windfall theme from Zelda: Wind Waker over and over in my head for at least the previous fifteen minutes. To get rid of a song, I have to either whistle the tune or play the MP3.

Do you have this problem? Please discuss.

Yeah, I get it. It's like having a radio in my head. It's only bad when I get those sucky songs those sweaty girls sing.

It does happen quite often, yes. The sad thing is that the only songs that ever seem to get stuck in my head are awful teen-pop records. I've found that the best cure for this is to shut yourself in a dark area and play a decent song, until the poppy rubbish goes away.

I've noticed that, I too, only mindplay rather modern pop-songs. Mainly because they have lyrics I understand. If I listened to more music with lyrics I can make sense of, I'm sure THOSE would play in my mind.

I'm disappointed because I wanted this thread to be about Q-Tips or something.

I remember having that six flags theme ( with the old man--that tune) stuck in my head for the longest...it was horrible.

Yes. I had a friend in Biology that would complain she had a song stuck in her head, so she'd hum a little piece of it, and it would be stuck in my head then, too. >=(

I've gone through two different John Denver CDs and every day I've had a different song in my head. Currently it's "Sunshine on my Shoulders." Yesterday it was "Follow Me."

The only cure is to replace it with a new song

I sometimes get a bad POP song on my brain... which is pretty annoying. To get rid of it I just concentrate on something else and then it's gone... mostly.

Realy bad songs always play in my head as I lay in bed at night.

I'm immune, since I have almost my music collection in my head, I can summon anything at will.

Of course, I don't need that since I listen to music for most of my time alive anyway.
